This flat roof served a new contemporary residential extension. Due to the listed nature of the property, we were required to construct a traditional roof blending clean lines with durable performance. The project was a mixture of old and new. The roof structure being a modern flat roof constructed using modern insulation methods creating what is known as a ‘warm roof’. To comply with the planning conditions, the roof was covered with traditional hand beaten lead. This dressed lead covering will be long-lasting and provide weather-resistant protection that blends beautifully with the old character of the building.
