This unique project involved the transformation of a crumbling old brick garden shed into a beautifully finished sunroom or outside office—blending restoration with creative repurposing. The original structure, though showing signs of age and disrepair, provided a solid foundation for renovation. Our team began by stabilising the existing brickwork, repointing and repairing where needed to preserve the building’s rustic charm. We then upgraded the roof structure, installed new insulation, and added high-performance glazing to flood the space with natural light. To enhance usability year-round, we fitted the interior with plastered walls, a wood burning stove and engineered wood flooring, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Custom French doors now open onto the garden, seamlessly connecting indoor and outdoor living. The result is a stunning sunroom retreat or work from home office, repurposed from an underused outbuilding into a functional, light-filled space—proving that with thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship, even the oldest structures can find new life.
